Dynamic AMOLED 2X
Dynamic AMOLED 2X is Samsung’s latest and most advanced mobile display, building upon the original Dynamic AMOLED introduced in 2019. This enhanced version is tailored for high-speed gaming and multitasking, boasting a 100% accurate DCI-P3 color gamut for optimized colors and contrast. The display delivers a seamless user experience with smoother scrolling, excellent response times and HDR10+ certification. Notably, the adaptive refresh rate has been upgraded from 60Hz to 120Hz, further enhancing display performance.
Adaptive Refresh Rate
This technology is designed to offer a smooth and seamless scrolling and viewing experience by automatically adjusting the screen’s refresh rate based on the content being displayed. This feature not only ensures a smoother user experience but also optimizes battery life.
Auto Framing
Auto Framing is a feature that automatically adjusts the Galaxy device’s camera angle based on the number of people in the picture. The view narrows when there is one person and widens when the camera detects at least two people in the frame. Moreover, the screen follows the movement of the detected photographer, allowing for a trackable distance of approximately two-and-a-half to three meters and a trackable speed matching a normal walking pace. With this feature, capturing dynamic scenes like people dancing or children playing is a breeze. Users can ensure everyone in a large group fits within the frame using the Auto Framing feature and Flex Mode.
Nightography
Nightography is a powerful camera capability introduced for the first time with the Galaxy S22 that enhances color vibrancy and picture quality even in low-light environments. This feature captures a series of images and employs multi-frame processing (MFP) technology to analyze and eliminate noise and blurry shots. Nightography applies an HDR effect to the refined images, combining them into a single clear photo. Colors and details are enhanced using an AI image signal processing (ISP) algorithm. Using the Super Night Solution, users can take bright and crips videos without any visual noise.
Nit
Derived from the Greek word “nitere” meaning “to shine,” nit is a unit of luminance used to measure the light emitted from a smartphone or computer display. More specifically, one nit is the brightness of one candle in an area of one square meter, while 1,000 nits equals the brightness of light emitted by 1,000 candles in an area of one square meter. Since smartphones are often used outdoors, luminance is important to ensure the displays remain clearly visible in varying lighting conditions.
Fast Wireless Charging 2.0
Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 is Samsung’s wireless charging technology standard that operates on a magnetic field-induced fast-charging mechanism.
Initially showcased at Galaxy Unpacked 2015 when the Galaxy Note5 was introduced, the earlier Fast Wireless Charging could support wireless charging of up to 9W. Now, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 enables faster wireless charging options of 10W, 12W and 15W.
